An 80-year-old was one of two men who appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court Thursday on separate charges of assault.
John Joseph Peter Poulet, of Maresol Beach Apartments, Dover, Christ Church is accused of assaulting Anthony Whittaker on November 2.
He denied the charge.
With no objections from the police prosecutor Sergeant Janice Ifill, Poulet was granted $2 000 bail with one surety and warned to stay away from the complainant.
He is to re-appear before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant on November 7, when the complainant is also expected to be in court.
In the other case, 43-year-old Darrell O’Brien Harris of Barbarees Gardens, Barbarees Hill, St Michael is accused of assaulting Nikita Harris, occasioning her actual bodily harm.
He was released on $2 000 bail with one surety.
Harris, who was represented by attorney Angela Mitchell-Gittens, returns to court on November 29.
