ROSEAU – A pile up of garbage near two schools in Roseau has raised concerns among residents in the capital.
Apparently, the garbage on the street was left after Community Day of Service last Friday, however by Tuesday morning, it remained uncollected.
A concerned resident told DNO that the uncollected garbage is a huge eyesore for everyone.
To make matter worse, a cruise ship made an inaugural visit to Dominica on Monday and knowing this, the concerned resident said he made numerous calls to have the garbage collected, but it was to no avail. He said numerous tourists were seen taking photos of the garbage on Monday.
“It is sickening,” the resident said.
