All is now well at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) following a power outage this morning.
Chief Executive Officer Dr Dexter James told Barbados TODAY that even though the electricity supply from the Barbados Light & Power Company (BL&P) went out, the hospital’s generator quickly kicked in.
Dr James stressed that the health institution was functioning normally without any major problems.
He also rejected reports that the hospital was experiencing a water shortage.
“There is water in the hospital.
We have never had a problem with water. The only thing that happened this morning was the power went and the generator kicked in. That’s the only thing I saw this morning,” he said.
