Barbadians and visitors will get a special treat for the season when 12 young stars perform the Triangle of Life Piano Concert at the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, Holetown, St. James.
The free concert will be held in the Limegrove courtyard next Monday, 19 December, and begins at 6 PM.
A production of Pianoman Caribbean, the Triangle of Life Piano Concert was conceived as a vehicle for young piano players to showcase their amazing talents, highlight the beauty of piano music and its ability to inspire and bring happiness.
This year, the second performance at Limegrove, will feature children from 6 – 16, including one overseas based young lady brought home specially for the performance and a young man who is on the autistic spectrum.
The 12 young stars will play a range of music from works by the classical masters like Handel, Bach and Beethoven, to jazz and contemporary compositions by Scott Joplin and Henry Mancini to original pieces.
Among the highlights will be a duet and a “12 hands” performance – six young stars on 2 pianos, all in a synchronised session.
