Gary Dimitri Riley, of no fixed place of abode, will be housed at HMP Dodds for the next six months.
He pleaded guilty to two charges, which occurred on December 16, when he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick this morning.
Riley admitted to loitering on the premises of Ocean Reef Condominiums, where there was cause to suspect that he was about to commit theft. He also admitted to loitering on the premises of Maria Collymore at Club Morgan, Christ Church and was unable to give a satisfactory account for being there.
After the police prosecutor outlined the facts, Riley told the court that he was drinking, and “ya know sometimes ya can’t handle de drinks. I apologize fully.”
“[If you were drunk] you would lie down and sleep, not pull at someone’s door,” the magistrate responded, before imposing two six-month sentences which will run concurrently.
