Seven months after denying criminal damage, loitering and theft charges, 48-year-old Junior Anderson Grafton Yarde had a change of heart and confessed to his crimes Wednesday.
Yarde, who is listed as having no fixed place of abode, has now admitted to damaging a motorcar belonging to Roxanne Foster, sometime between March 6 and 7, 2016 without lawful excuse.
He also confessed to stealing three costumes valued $450, an umbrella worth $200 and a $50 pair of sunglasses belonging to Mario Boyce between July 26 and 27, and that “being a reputed thief”, he loitered at the residence of Severine Ward with intent to commit theft on August 25, 2016.
Yarde had denied all three charges when he first appeared in court to answer them last September.
For damaging the car, he was slapped with a 12-month jail sentence; the loitering got him a six-month jail term; and the theft attracted a 12-month stay at HMP Dodds.
The sentences will run concurrently.
