The legal troubles of a 30-year-old man, already on remand at HMP Dodds, were increased Friday.
Sharaz O’Brian Patel, who is currently resident at the St Phillip penal institution, is charged with unlawfully and maliciously engaging in conduct on March 20, which placed Ksree St Hill in danger of death or serious bodily harm.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.
He remains on remand and returns to court on July 21.
In another case, 40-year-old Deighton Fitzpatrick Walrond of Grand View, St Patrick’s, Christ Church was accused of wounding another man three years ago.
He is alleged to have wounded Willis Roberts on February 13, 2014 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do some serious bodily harm to him.
Walrond was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was granted $10,000 bail after there were no objections from the prosecutor.
He was given a September 12 date to return to court after Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant accepted his surety.
