Corey Jamal Antonio Harvey has found himself in trouble with the law, over a threatening text message he allegedly sent to a woman.
The 25-year-old resident of Odessa McClean Drive, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael is accused of using a cellular phone to send electronic communication that constitutes a threat: “I killing you for sure, watch. You feel I sporty”, he allegedly wrote, intending to cause, or was reckless as to whether he caused, annoyance, inconvenience, distress, or anxiety to Rhea Shanice Steede.
Harvey pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted $5,000 bail. As a condition of that release, he was warned not to communicate with Steede.
“Stay away from the complainant and, most importantly, do not communicate with Steede
by any means. That includes . . . Skype, telescope, smoke signals. Do you understand what I am saying to you?” Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant impressed on the accused.
“Do not communicate with Steede. A word to the wise, Mr Harvey.”
