A 37-year-old general worker is spending the night in jail tonight, after pleading guilty to criminally damaging a car belonging Angela Gill of William Henry Street, St Michael on March 6.
Although Kevin Llewellyn Thompson of Martindales Road, St Michael was offered bail by Magistrate Douglas Frederick, he was unable to secure a surety.
According to prosecutor Martin Rock, Thompson was caught on camera scraping the car, which was parked outside Gill’s residence, from fender to bumper.
He was later arrested after Gill called police.
Advising the prosecutor that Gill needed to appear in court to provide an estimate of the damage, the magistrate offered Thompson bail, which he was unable to post.
He returns to court tomorrow.
