A 50-year-old man was yesterday sentenced to nine months in prison after pleading guilty to robbery.
Junior Winston Decourcey Clarke of Marshall Gap, New Orleans, St Michael, had earlier admitted to robbing Samuel Agard of a $300 cellular phone and $50 cash on July 6, 2016.
Clarke, who has 30 antecedents, some of which fall under the Theft Act, was already serving time in prison for wounding and robbery.
Therefore, his sentences will run consecutively.
Meantime, 40-year-old Vincent Tony Smith has been ordered to be on his best behaviour for the next six months.
If the Ellis Village, Halls Road, St Michael resident, who pleaded guilty to stealing a $41.75 bottle of alcohol from De Rum Shop Bar on August 28, 2016, fails to obey the order imposed by Magistrate Douglas Frederick, he will have to spend three months in prison.
