A steel bender was released on $10, 000 bail with strict conditions after appearing in court on an indictable charge.
It is alleged that Chesley Lloyd Springer of Upper Ifill Road, Flagstaff, St Michael did serious bodily harm to Niquon Lewis on September 29 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him.
The 40-year-old man was not required to plead to the charge after Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant read it.
While there was no objection to bail, the prosecutor requested that Springer surrenders his passport, reports to the Worthing Police Station every Monday and Thursday before noon with valid identification and stays away from Lewis and his property.
The conditions were imposed on Springer who returns to the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on January 23, 2018.
