A 44-year-old St Michael man will spend the next three months in prison after he was caught yesterday with cocaine in his possession.
Magistrate Douglas Frederick handed down the sentence to Adrian Carlisle Beckles of Field Place, Bayville, in the No.1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.
Police were in the River Road, St Michael area when they saw Beckles riding towards Purity Bakeries on the wrong side of the road.
He was stopped and reportedly started to fidget when the officers requested a search of his person.
The crystalized substance was clenched in his fist.
“This is my cocaine,” Beckles told the police just before he was arrested.
