It was dubbed the first ever “fashion show” for cars in Barbados-the CIBC FirstCaribbean Red CARpet show.
Last Friday, clients, auto dealers and bankers were all in top gear with glittering 2018 top vehicle models fully on display at the LLoyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LLESC)
‘Choice, convenience and responsiveness’ is how the bank’s Regional Retail Director Mark St. Hill described the experience.
He noted that the bank was giving to its customers by hosting the event and allowing them to choose a vehicle on site with the convenience of having the relationship managers, insurance representatives and the offer of a low interest rate all combined in one event.
“We don’t just sell a mortgage, we sell a home; we don’t just sell a car, we sell access.” Hill said as he explained that the bank was changing how it interacts with customers.
Dealers who joined the bank for event were Nassco – agents for Toyota; Courtesy Garage – agents for Nissan and Hyundai; Simpson Motors – agents for Suzuki and Chevrolet; Platinum Motors -agents for Honda and MQI – agents for Kia, Ford and Mazda vehicles.
The night was the opening event to a full day of a ‘Pop-Up Showroom’ on Saturday where some twenty cars were on display at the LLESC on the inside and outside of the conference facility.
CIBC FirstCaribbean Managing Director Donna Wellington, in welcoming the bank’s customers to the event explained that “From the beginning, we have been a company that has not shied away from innovation and creativity while delivering to our clients personalized service, proactive measures and the best digital, alternative channels.”
She added, “we have committed ourselves to finding creative ways to make you think of us first when making decisions about financing.”
