A 29-year-old man, who has been on remand at HMP Dodds since June, was granted temporary freedom today.
Jamar Omar Haynes, of Worthing View, Christ Church, is accused of stealing ten apples belonging to Wilfred Tudor on May 31 and wounding Ricardo Williams on June 1 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him.
He has denied the allegations.
When he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick yesterday Haynes made an application for bail which was granted but he had no surety present in court.
He returned today with a suitable surety who posted $3, 000 bail on his behalf.
Haynes, who returns to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on November 23, must report to Central Police Station every Wednesday by 10 a.m. with valid identification.
