Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant has sent a 19-year-old man shopping after he admitted to committing several traffic offences, while riding his bicycle.
Joreon Revaldo Cumberbatch, of Yearwood Road, Black Rock, St Michael, pleaded guilty to using the bicycle along Fairfield Cross Road yesterday with no number plate, bell, brakes or lamp.
In the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today, Cuffy-Sargeant ordered him to register the bike, purchase the other aforementioned items and return to court on November 22 to show the items, as well as proof of purchase.
However, his legal troubles did not end there.
Cumberbatch, who was represented by attorney-at-law Harry Husbands, pleaded not guilty to a cannabis charge and was granted $1,500 bail. He was also placed on a daily 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
