The Lions Club of Barbados South is doing its part to ensure that the less fortunate in society can still have a Merry Christmas.
Yesterday, members of the service group were busy putting together 55 hampers as part of its Christmas outreach effort.
“In addition to these hampers there will also be a presentation next Saturday evening. We will go through the community and distribute ready cooked hams, hams which are ready to eat, and this will be in conjunction with HIPAC limited,” spokeswoman Corlis Weekes-Grazette said.
This year, the organization also donated to the HIV Food Bank in recognition of World AIDS Day on December 1.
