Forget the blistering cold, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.
Those were the sentiments of scores of tourists who opted to spend Christmas in warm sunshine in Barbados.
Guests at Bougainvillea Barbados and Sugar Bay Barbados were treated to extra holiday goodies as the properties treated them to a Bajan Christmas.
The festivities took place on the beach under sunny blue skies and the guests were only too happy to be out in their beachwear instead of heavy winter coats.
Never one to miss the fun or disappoint with his arrival, Santa Claus ditched the reindeer and sled as he arrived at the resorts in style on a Hobie cat and then on a jet ski with a sack full of presents for the excited boys and girls.
Stilt walkers, the tuk band and dancers were a sight to behold; enthralling all who were there as they put on their show and spread Christmas cheer.
A Christmas Umbrella Dress Up, a sandcastle competition and a Christmas party were all part of yuletide festivities at the resorts, including sumptuous Christmas feasts with all the trimmings.
All had a good time and according to one guest “Forget the white Christmas, nothing beats a Christmas in Barbados in the sun”.
