A 28-year-old Moncrieffe, St Philip man has been ordered to pay a $10,000 fine after pleading guilty today to a number of drug offences.
Earlier this week, Rashad Rommel Belgrave was arrested and charged with unlawful possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis. He was also accused of unlawful possession of apparatus after members of the Major Crime Unit executed a warrant at his residence on Wednesday.
Today, he appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay the $10,000 fine within six months or he will have to spend one year in prison for the offence of unlawful possession of cannabis.
Belgrave was reprimanded and discharged for the offence of possession with intent to supply, and convicted reprimanded and discharged (CRD) for the remaining offences.
