An unhealthy sibling rivalry has landed Ryan Oneal Griffith of 2nd Avenue, Fairfield, St Michael on remand at HMP Dodds.
The 42-year-old plumber went before Magistrate Douglas Frederick today charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding his brother, Oriel Griffith, on May 31 last year, and assaulting him on December 21, and again on January 16 this year.
Ryan pleaded not guilty to the charges, but prosecutor Sergeant Theodore McClean objected to bail on the grounds that the siblings reside in the same household, and that a firearm was allegedly used during one of the attacks.
McClean also pointed to the nature and frequency of the alleged attacks, and argued that both men needed to be protected.
The case against the Ryan will continue in the No.1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on January 19.
