A 28-year-old man, who allegedly assaulted two police officers, was granted $7,000 bail when he appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.
Codia Kishmar Callendar, of Marshfield Close, St Philip, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Devon Clarke and Gregory Browne on January 27.
He is also charged with issuing the threatening words, “I gine and come back and shoot you in yah belly” towards Clarke on the same day.
He pleaded not guilty to the three charges after Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant read them out to him and was released after his surety was accepted.
However, as part of his bail conditions, Callendar must now report to the District ‘C’ Police Station every Monday with valid identification, stay away from his alleged victims and keep the peace.
His case continues on June 7.
