A 64-year-old man, who entered the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court shouting, has been remanded to the Psychiatric Hospital until February 28.
“Rasta dead, dead, dead, never come back! Rasta high, high, high,” Philip Goodridge, of no fixed place of abode, yelled as he came into the docks.
After pausing for a moment, Magistrate Douglas Frederick informed Goodridge that he would be reading out the charge to him, but the accused man simply continued shouting the same words, leaving Frederick with no choice but to send him to the Black Rock institution for assessment without the charge being read.
It is alleged that he stole five pairs of jeans pants worth $250 belonging to Lisby Issac yesterday.
