Barbados has a new party boat.
The MV Dream Chaser has been fully operational for less than month and already it is receiving the stamp of approval from partygoers and other members of the local entertainment fraternity.
Co-owner of the vessel Captain John Moore described the response to date as “overwhelming”.
“So far everyone that has been here has been enjoying themselves and a lot of them are impressed with the vessel,” he told Bajan Vibes, adding that “we actually have bookings and we are going pretty good up to Crop Over.
“We have a lot of spots taken up already, so we are not doing too bad at all,” he stressed.
The vessel, which comfortably accommodates 450 persons, is ideal for promoters who wish to have a big cruise.
The former captain of the Jolly Roger said “the goal for the Dream Chaser is to be the party boat of choice in Barbados”, adding that “so far we are looking good”.
He also intends to market the vessel to schools and church groups.
“We have a couple schools so far, but we want to get into the school sector and encourage the churches to come out as well and enjoy the Dream Chaser,” he said.
Captain Moore said there was also interest in having the vessel head over to Antigua, Guyana and St Vincent for their carnival celebrations. However, those opportunities are still under negotiation.
