Two teenagers, accused of criminal damage, are due to return to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on April 27.
Absalom Abijah Frances Hunt, of 3rd Avenue, Gills Gap, Eagle Hall, St Michael, and his co-accused Zebulun Jahlani Sawh, of 1st Avenue, Greaves Land, Upper Goodland, St Michael, pleaded not guilty to damaging a motorcar belonging to Yohendra Sawh on July 2, 2017 without lawful excuse.
With no objections to their release, the two 16 year olds were each granted $2,000 bail and warned to stay away from their alleged victim and his property.
However, Hunt now has to complete 120 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to possession of a small quantity of cannabis on February 26, while Sawh has to pay the court $150 in costs before an assault case against him could be dismissed.
The complainant, Latiesha Gibbs, had earlier informed Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant that she was no longer proceeding with the case after Sawh pleaded not guilty to occasioning her actual bodily harm on February 4.
