A 26-year-old carpenter, accused of stealing a cow, was granted $2,000 bail when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.
Zing Leo Pile, of Gooding Road, Station Hill, St Michael, allegedly stole the animal worth $7,000 belonging to Roger Nicholls on March 27.
He denied committing the offence, but was not required to plead to the indictable charge of escaping from the District ‘A’ Police Station on the same day with the use of force.
Pile, who was represented by Queen’s Counsel Dr Waldo Ramsey, reappears before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant on June 26.
In the meantime, he has been warned to stay away from the complainant.
