The man accused of the murder of Police Constable Shayne Welch has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.
Twenty-six-year-old Applon Ishmael Parris, of Taitt Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael, today appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on several other charges, including assault to prevent lawful apprehension, malicious communication and burglary.
He was not required to plead to the charges of murder, assault and burglary.
He, however, pleaded guilty to malicious communication.
Parris will reappear in court on May 3.
