A 30-year-old storeroom worker accused of committing two criminal acts against the mother of his child, was granted $2,500 bail when he appeared in court today.
Dwight Ramon Marridona Edwin, of Gaskin Road, Fairfield Cross Road, St Michael, is accused of assaulting Natasha Martindale on April 11 and uttering the words, “I am going to beat you. I do not care about the police
being here. I do not care about going to jail”, with intent to cause her to believe that immediate violence would be used against
Edwin denied both charges when he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick today.
With no objections to bail Edwin was released on condition that he stays away from Martindale.
The accused man is scheduled to return to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on September 4.
