A 25-year-old woman, accused of assault, was today released on $8,000 bail.
It is alleged that Keisha Latoya Crawford, of Ruby Tenantry, St Philip, caused serious body harm to Terry Scantlebury on April 15 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to cause him serious bodily harm.
She was not required to plead to the indictable charge after it was read out to her by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.
With no objection from the prosecutor, she was released in the care of her surety.
Crawford was however ordered to surrender her travel documents to the court and must not apply for a passport without the consent of the Bridgetown court. She must also report to Central Police Station every Wednesday before 6 p.m.
She returns to court on July 30.
