Members of the public are advised that the Supreme Court Complex, including the Registration Department, will be closed on Monday, April 30, to facilitate the cleaning of records.
It will reopen on Wednesday, May 2, when the Records Department and Criminal Court No. 5 will be in operation.
All jurors who are currently empanelled in that court are asked to report at the White Park Road, St Michael complex on Wednesday, May 2, at 9 a.m.
In a statement issued by the Barbados Government Information Service this afternoon, the court said any inconvenience this closure may cause is regretted.
The development follows a recent work stoppage by workers who walked off the job on April 11 complaining of environmental problems in the building.
Since then, both the National Union of Public Workers and the Barbados Bar Association have been advising their members to stay out of the ‘sick’ complex. (BGIS)
