A 50-year-old mechanic, who allegedly refused to leave Police Headquarters when directed to do so, was remanded to prison after he was unable to post bail.
Mark Winston Rollins, of Farm Road, Ellerton, St George, appeared in court today charged with committing the aforementioned offence on May 22 as well as failing to obey a police order to “move and keep moving”; using abusive language to and resisting Police Constable Lenroy Scott in the execution of his duties on the same day.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the offences when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.
There was no objection to bail from the prosecutor but up to the end of the day’s proceedings Rollins was unable to get anyone to sign bail on his behalf.
He returns before the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on June 20.
