Barbados has recorded another road fatality.
This follows a collision which occurred around 3:10 p.m. on Sunday along Westbury Main Road, St Michael, near the junction with Rihanna Drive, resulting in the death of a male pedestrian.
Police say Decourcey Gulston, whose age is unknown, of Westbury Road, St. Michael, was struck by a motorcycle owned and ridden by 26-year-old Ridge Hollingsworth, of Parish Land, Christ Church.
Gulston was incoherent at the scene and was transported to the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries around 9:40 p.m.
His death brings to 18 the number of road fatalities for the year.
In the meantime, Hollingsworth complained of pain to his right knee and right elbow.
Police investigations are continuing.
