A sixth man has been remanded to Dodds prison charged with the murder of British national Steven Weare.
He is Shaquille O’Neal Orlando Cumberbatch of 3rd Avenue Parris Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, who is accused of committing the capital offence sometime between August 23 and September 1, 2017.
Weare’s body was discovered in a remote area in Melverton, St George on September 1 last year after he was reported missing.
Cumberbatch was not required to plead to the indictable charge when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today with his attorney Andrew Willoughby.
However the matter has been transferred to the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court for June 26 where he will also face a burglary charge and a charge of having possession of four rounds of ammunition.
The 23-year-old accused also has traffic matters to answer to at the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on June 27, while he will return before Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant on July 18 on charges of burglary and wounding.
