The accused men were not required to plead to the indictable charges when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant this morning with their attorneys.
The prosecutor objected to bail on several grounds while attorneys Andrew Pilgrim, QC, Arthur Holder and Steve Gollop argued that their clients were fit candidates for bail.
The magistrate ruled in favour of the defence and set bail at a million dollars each with strict conditions.
However, the attorneys asked that time be given to allow their clients’ families to get the necessary documents to post the bail sum. As a result, the accused were remanded until July 18.
