Home / Local News / Two injured in Christ Church accident
Two people were injured along Enterprise Road, Christ Church after their car collided with a stationary truck tonight.
The man and woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
(more details as they come to hand.)
This is good driving , the truck shouldn’t have been there , would be good to hear if this person was a qualified driver……..
On another note has anyone noticed that the jersey barriers on the ABC are pretty mossy and black? I believe they should be painted white to make them stand out as sometimes you are driving blind.
The use of cats eyes on the Jersey Barriers and reflective tape, and also of reflective road studs need to be seen more in Barbados. Espcially on the ABC Hwy coming from Bussa towards Norman Niles. You have to watch very arefully that you do no hit the Jersey Barrier at night. All I see is gray.
We need anudder law , prohibiting stationary trucks from striking passing vehicles.
The previous comments re dark jersey barriers, is very relevant. No need to paint the who, else barrier (both sides). A six-inch strip of reflective tape, affixed to the top- edge of each barrier where the segments of barriers meet, and facing the on-coming traffic, would be sufficient to provide a “visual refetence-point” and enable night time drivers to drive safely.
Totally sport these suggestions.
