A security guard, who stole a number of items from his place of work, has been sentenced to one year in prison.
Wayne Anderson Highland, of Jackson Tenantry Road, St Michael, had previously pleaded guilty to the offence.
Today Magistrate Douglas Frederick imposed the sentence on him. However, Highland only has three months left to serve having been on remand for the last seven months.
“I hope you change when you come out and make a good contribution to society,” the magistrate told the 50-year-old, who is known to the court.
