After claiming the International Bashment Soca and Sweet Soca crowns, popular entertainer Rickey Lil Rick Reed has captured a third title for the 2018 Crop Over season.
Earlier today, he emerged as the clear winner of the Jam Tune competition, for the most frequently played song during Foreday Morning.
In fact, he tied with himself for first place with his songs ‘Mudda Sally’ and ‘Ben It’.
Rick’s ‘Breakfast in Bed’ also tied with Jagwa De Champ’s ‘Correction Time’ for third place.

He is also seen a key contender for Road March – the most popular tune on the road – as Crop Over climaxes here on Monday in Grand Kadooment.
For his efforts, Rick collected $3,000 for first place, $2,500 for second place and shared in $500 for third place in the Jam Tune competition.
This adds to his earlier winnings of $80,000 in prize money in Bashment Soca, as well as a Mazda 3 vehicle valued at $79,900 and 10,000 in cash and other prizes in Sweet Soca.
I think he will win road march. He knows what the Bajan public wants on the road on Kadooment day, uptempo ‘fast’ songs so they can get on dibby. So even though ragga/ sweet soca has more international appeal, those songs dont do that well on the road.
Congratulations to one of my outside men. I told some people this is your year. Happy for you. Congrats again.
