A man and a teenager accused of murder have been remanded to HMP Dodds until September 11.
The duo, Romel Hose Marville, 23, of Hawkins Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, and Daron Devon Thompson, 17, of Odessa McClean Drive, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael, are accused of the July 13 killing of Donasan Husbands, 26, of Fairfield, Black Rock, St Michael and wounding another man as they left a night-time cruise.
When the two appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, they were not required to plead to the indictable charge as well as that of wounding Adrian Sealy on the same day with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or do some serious bodily harm to him.
Husbands and Sealy were both caught in a hail of gunfire at about 2:30 a.m. that Friday the 13th as they made their way towards their vehicle, in the carpark of the Hard
Rock Cement Bond on the Spring Garden Highway, after disembarking the MV Dream Chaser.
Husbands suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died from his injuries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Sealy was shot in his left thigh.
In court, Thompson was represented by attorney-at-law Mohia Ma’at while Marville was unrepresented.
