The Honourable Santia Bradshaw made a courageous decision to announce that she is at an early stage of breast cancer. It should not be ignored.
The Barbados Constitution acknowledges the supremacy of God. Not any created thing, but rather the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the ever-living Almighty God and Creator of us all. He is the One whom we can approach because of the ultimate sacrifice of His Son, our Messiah, Jesus, and know as our loving and attentive Heavenly Father.
I have already approached our God, the God of Barbados, on Santia’s behalf, that she may be healed of any diseases known or unknown, in the name of Jesus. I will continue to pray in this manner and speak only good concerning her health. As Jesus instructed those who choose to follow Him, I follow Jesus in saying Santia, be healed and be made completely well and whole in the name of our Messiah, Jesus.
The scriptures explain that God places leaders, and I sincerely believe that God, in His supremacy, placed Minister Bradshaw in her position to do something remarkable.
The next generation of Barbadians must be prepared to lead, whether in business, public sector services, politics, etc. Our school system should provide our children with sufficient foundational knowledge to facilitate their training to lead us, and the generations that follow theirs.
Whether we like it or not, or feel that they are sufficiently prepared or not, it is the next generation of Barbadians to whom we will pass our batons. Whether we give them willingly, or they snatch them from our hands, or we drop them and they pick them up, or we hide them and they find them, they will be passed.
It is in all of our best interests that the next generation is well-trained for their responsibilities, and much of their training occurs at school. Therefore, the Ministry of Education, of which Santia is Minister, is critical to Barbados’ development and sustainability.
May she soon return to attend to her responsibilities. May she hear the voice of God during this time and beyond and obey Him as she serves the people of Barbados. May she have access to all information that is relevant to her responsibilities, and may she understand it all. May she receive wisdom from God to use that information in the most effective manner for our collective good.
May blessings overtake her and may she want for nothing all the days of her life. May her years be many to positively impact all with whom she may interact. May all of this be so in the name of Jesus our Messiah.
