Barbadians will be paying more for gasoline and kerosene, but less for diesel and liquefied petroleum gas, (LPG) effective midnight Sunday.
Gasoline will retail at $3.91 per litre, up from $3.88, an increase of three cents.
Kerosene will rise from $1.47 per litre, to $1.46, an increase of one cent.
The price of diesel will drop by one cent, moving from $3.15 to $3.14.
Meanwhile, the retail prices of LPG will fall from Bds$154.34 to $143.28 per 100 lb cylinder, a saving of $11.06.
The 25lb cylinder moves from $43.69 to $40.92, a decrease of $2.77.
The retail price of the 22lb cylinder drops from $38.61 to $36.18, a reduction of $2.43, while the 20lb cylinder moves from $35.10 to $32.89, down $2.21. (BGIS)
Last administration got cussed out whenever there was a rise in fuel prices. I’m waiting for the comments because fuel prices are already through the roof. Some would have us believe that the current administration is God come down from heaven to save.
The solid waste tax is back with a vengeance by another name and cutely attached to the water bills. There is the airport tax and the health levy coming in October. Oh yea, lest I forget, the IMF
medicine is still to drop.
I will continue to listen with glee as the BLP operatives tell people to shut up when they dare to speak about how negatively these measures are affecting them.

The DEMS got nothing but hostility from the BLP under Arthur and the Mia from day one after general elections in 2008. The wild boys were only expected to last 18 months in government. There was no cooperation at all from either the business or unions. Much of the state of today’s economy was due to Mia and here group spreading the gospel of despair both at home and especially abroad as they compared Barbados to Haiti.
Now they must fix things and the voters will not be kind once the pain arrives.
Why does Barbados need a bureaucracy and staff to perform a function the market handles on its own?

the last time gas price when down I ask how can this be done when the barrel of oil was going up. well I can see where this price adjustment come from now.
under the dlp gas prices was rising even when the price for a barrel of oil was dropping.
