The Barbados Meteorological Services has issued a flood watch for the island as it continues to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Isaac.
Forecasters say the island will be affected by showers, isolated thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds throughout the day and into tonight.
Around six o’clock this morning, the center of Isaac passed 150 miles to the north of Barbados.
At 11 a.m., Isaac was located near 14.9 degrees north, 61.8 degrees west or about 50 miles southwest of Dominica.
The system has weakened and is now packing winds near 45 miles per hour. Isaac continues to move westward at 20 miles per hour
The flood warning will remain in effect until 6 p.m., today while a small craft warning will remain in effect until Friday at 6 a.m.
The Met office has however discontinued the high-surf advisory.
