Former Cabinet Minister, noted trade unionist and diplomat Evelyn Greaves has died at the age of 78.
The island’s former High Commissioner to Canada, who was first elected to the House of Assembly on a Democratic Labour Party ticket as the Member of Parliament for St Lucy in 1971, passed away suddenly at his home today.
He leaves to mourn his wife Francillia and daughters, Stacey and Lauralynn.

May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace. I remembered you as the quiet one in the formidable DLP governments of Errol Barrow.
One of the worthy. R I P.
One of the men who brought down Sandiford”s Govt.
Death is the inevitable that we all must face and no one knows the day or the time when it will occur, yet we are always unprepared and ‘shocked” at this inevitable end.
May the soul of Evelyn Greaves, rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
My sincere condolence to Francilla and the girls
