The Tropical Storm warning for Barbados has been dis-continued, the Barbados Meteorological Services has announced.
It however disclosed that the flood warning has been extended until noon today.
The Met Office explained that while a gradual improvement in conditions is expected, satellite and radar imagery still show an extensive cloud-mass associated convection around the island.
Meanwhile, a small craft warning and high-surf advisory also remain in effect until Monday, October 1.
The forecasters however caution that northerly swells being generated by the remnants of Post Tropical cyclone Leslie in the north central Atlantic will propagate southwards across the Lesser Antilles.
Large waves and dangerous rip tides can be expected.
These will create unsafe conditions for small craft operators and fishermen.
Sea bathers and other users of the sea are also advised to stay out of the water.
