Lawmen have charged four men in connection with the theft of 21 pigs.
They are: 31-year-old Jamal Emmanuel Lewis, of Foster Hall, St John; 41-year-old Marlon Fitzgerald Boxill, of Lodge Hill, St Michael; 21-year-old Kemar Shamar Turton, of Lewis Gap, Green Hill, St Michael; and 48-year-old Robert DaCosta Walker, of No. 36 Seclusion Gardens, Black Rock, St Michael.
The accused are also charged with theft of 12 bags of pig feed. The offences are alleged to have taken place, between June 19 and 20, at Greenland, St Andrew.
Boxill, Turton and Walker appeared in the District ‘F’ Magistrate’s Court on Friday, September 28, and were remanded to HMP Dodds, until Monday October 1, to appear before the District ‘D’ Magistrate’s Court.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer Sergeant Michael Blackman said the fourth man – Lewis is currently receiving medical treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

hmmm oh my goodness did i hear jingle bells Christmas is just around the corner. yah better watch out those little piggies would be heading to market .
They stole only one pig but took along 23 others to keep it’s company. No problem wid dat.
This is where this majority people is at. It is not bad enough to eat such unclean beast but now to be stealing them. Give this 2 the heaviest penalties.
If these four are found guilty they should be given a long prison sentence. Thieves who steal agricultural products should feel the full weight of the law. It is unfair that a person spends money to produce farm products then for someone to come along and steal. Not one but twenty-one?
