The Trinidad-based Seismic Research Center of the University of the West Indies is monitoring high levels of seismic activity at the Kick em’ Jenny Volcano.
The center said since an episode recorded last Sunday, there have been several other notable events.
It said that on Monday an event with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred at 3:24 a.m. This was followed by a second event with the same magnitude just 11 minutes later and a third event with a magnitude of 3.3 at 3:56 a.m.
In a bulletin issued on Tuesday, the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) in Grenada warned seafarers to stay at least 1.5 kilometres away from the area.
