A bail application by Andre Glenroy Brathwaite of Mangrove, St Philip, could not get him out of jail.
Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today denied his bail and ordered that he remained on remand at Dodds prison.
The 35-year-old is accused of stealing a $141.99 bottle of liquor belonging to Massy Stores on September 11.
Brathwaite, who is known to the law courts, has been in custody since his first appearance, on September 12, before Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant.
When his case was called today he told the magistrate that he was trying to get back home, to get things back in place because he had “a little restoration and cabinetry business and have furniture belonging to several people.”
The magistrate denied the bail application.
The accused man will return to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
