Two salesmen were granted $20,000 bail each when they appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court today on several criminal charges.
They are 33-year-old Mohammad Salim Bhana of Richmond Gap, St Michael and 23-year-old Muhammad Huzifa Bhamji, of No. 17 Stanmore Lodge, Black Rock, St Michael.
Mohammad Salim Bhana
Muhammad Huzifa Bhamji,
The two are accused of dishonestly disposing a motor car belonging to Rodney Lewis between October 3 and 12, knowing or believing that the vehicle was stolen.
Bhana and Bhamji are also charged with dishonestly obtaining BDS$15,000 from Jeffery Inniss on October 12 with intent to permanently deprive Inniss by representing that they were in lawful possession of a Toyota Corolla NZE and had authority to deal with the sale of the vehicle.
The accused are further alleged to have engaged in money laundering where they disposed of a vehicle that is the proceeds of crime.
They are also separately charged with engaging indirectly in the sale of a vehicle that is the proceeds of crime.
Bhana and Bhamji were not required to plead to the indictable charges when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today with their attorney, Arthur Holder.
They secured bail with conditions and will make their next court appearance on March 27, 2019.
Damn millionaires and they stealing people’s cars. They will do it again , and stupid bajans will still buy cars from them and reject the black man that selling used cars, so they right to laugh.
No “hand cuffs”, no “jail time” until case call. In any place on planet earth these are “serious crimes”, but in BIM ,,,,,,wah?,. cant just help but to love Barbados of how the Court system work in who’s favor………every time. WOW……
We are damn lucky that these two were brought to court. In the past, a donation to QEH would have done the thing. -November 30 ,1966 to November 30,1018- 52 years of independence-
The court system sometimes leaves to be desire. You see this thing that a speaker of the parliament could also go court and represent accused persons. I got reservations about that right there. I don’t get that. I hope he have time for the people that vote for him to. Who don’t see that Barbados operates at different levels will got to be blind. Sometimes it looks like lady justice does be peeping. The court supposed to be a place where there is justice for all but if it appears to be unbalance we going to have a problem in times to come.
@Ricardo – Come on, U need to understand what 400yrs of brainwashing and whitewashing has done to this people and why it still remains in play till this day. When a dress code, names, nationality, physical appearance, language, god, culture, etc have been replaced what do u expect. Which other people have this EVER happened too???
Where is Ossie Moore and his descriptive adjectives. These are the people who have the monopoly in selling used car parts and engines in Barbados, all down by Kensington Oval in the former Dacosta compound, and up Barbarees. They pay the black thieves to steal people’s cars at night, with a great liking for Toyotas. The police need to bust this mafia racket wide open once and for all.
WAIT BHANA U TELL ME IN OISTIN 2 years ago u can’t get touch with that grin on ya face what happen now? PM U NEED TO RESTUTURE D POLICE FORCE BRING ANTONIO FORTE TO RUN THAT ORGANISATION TACTICAL AND HIGHLY TRAINED BARBADOS IS BABY TRINIDAD , U HEARD IT FROM THE MOUTH OF THE STREET
There r the people whom u will never see their doors kicked in, without search warrants or treated unjustly etc by “bajan” black cops. But will then carry out bad policing on their own people [while other blacks looking on validate this behavior}. This minority keep quiet and do their thing, going unnoticed – until some mysterious tip off occurs. KEEP BIM GREAT.
Bajan Indian Muslims are highly dangerous people. I have been saying this for a long time.
But they always escape thru the Justice net because of their affiliation with the Barbados Labour Party and their multi million dollar criminal organisation.
With the amount of racist hate, labelling, and finger pointing; I guess it won’t be long before we witness Civil War in Barbados. In order to create or have a Civilised Society, people of all faiths, colour, and belonging must be respected and allowed to live a peaceful life. No human being is perfect, but it will appear some of us Barbadian are. It saddens me to see that there’s so much nasty divisions between people in Barbados .
@Jennifer, Gosh; you really do exist in the past; 400 years? Where are these people who are still alive? It is the likes of you who with Your backwardness is preventing young people from reaching the correct goals they truly deserve. You need to remove the chip of hatred you are carrying on your shoulder. I’m on of those people who believe that some Barbadians are lazy and dependent. As a Island, if we are to progress; everyone must do their share and stop expecting things to fall into their laps from Government, through freebies, or by commuting crime. No one owe us anything, we owe everything to ourselves.
@Betty Charles, Did you report your suspicions to the Police? Or are you one of the people who know the criminals, but say to yourself, it’s none of my business. For every criminal in Barbados with a gun or otherwise; someone know who they are, but chose to keep quiet. Crime affects every citizen in Barbados, because no one can tell who the next victim will be; it could be you or someone related to you. Criminals must not have a place where they can hide; criminals are the rotten scum of society.
Nothing will happen. Has anyone heard anything further of the case of the prominent businessman on bail of $500,000 since December 2014 for selling cars that did not exist although an established car dealership was issuing official valuations. BY the way is he black, white or indian.
Barney that matter comes up for hearing all the time and the gentleman in question usually attends and if he doesnt his attorney Marlon Gordon does. the matter is usually adjourned however as is common with our courts because of prosecution not being ready. the bail was 1.5m not 500k btw
@Cynthia Taitt – A mentality like yours is why black people world wide remain in despair and downtrodden. U guys will be the teachers, priest, judges, gurus, etc of the people: lying, denying and obstructing REAL progress. Oblivious “educated” people like these are the reason why black people cannot think outside of that box and remains subservient and locked into being just consumers. I am sure that whites, Indians, Chinese etc r still teaching their children to hate and suppress this people with a smile.
Dont talk foolishness, there has ALWAYS been racial divide in Barbados. It was so in the past, it is here now, and it will continue into the future.
The WHITE BAJANS have nothing to do with us BLACK BAJANS, the INDIAN MUSLIMS have nothing to with us BLACK BAJANS. As long as they can use BLACK BAJANS AS hewers of wood and drawers of wood, that represents the extent of their use for us. In this IMF hurricane which is threatening to destroy Barbados, ONLY BLACK PEOPLE WILL SUFFER!!! Not them.
Pull bloody head out of the sand woman and stop letting down your own race!!!!
@Carson C, Cadogan, Having read your nonsense, may I inform you that it is us the Black Barbadians who has and continue to let each other down. We don’t trust each other, we redicule, and disrespect each other, we never offer support to each other, and we curse and abuse each other in the worst possible way. There is no surprise that other cultures chose not to mix with us, we sleep around like dogs having children along the way with the males having no respect for the females. If a black person set up a shop, their goods are alway too expensive or not good enough. We have now commenced the destruction of our own people by murdering each other. This black on black destruction is happening everywhere where black people is in the majority. We are the destroyers of our own selves, ant the other cultures just sit back and laugh at us. I breaks my heart to see what’s happening in and to Barbados . I will always be a child of Barbados, but it pains me to see how backwards and destructive some of my fellow Barbadians are.
@Cynthia taitt – what u have outlined to Carson is 100% correct, however u fail to see that this mind damage done for the last 400yrs and still continuing is why this people is in the current state u outlined. And unless this phenomenon is corrected via the said education device which introduced it, the situation will remain and even get worst. And if u Cynthia deny and say that u and people like u are decent, good, FAITHFUL, law abiding black folk. Then I ask u this: Does medicine effect all people in like manner?
@CCC – Correct bro. And our people need to desist from being wanted to be included, this is where all our problems started.
JENNIFER These r the people who say blacks r lazy etc …………………………………….. And to some extent they are true. Instead of we getting up off our royal arses and trying to do things for ourselves, we sit back and heavily patrionize these people who came into Barbados with only the slippers on their feet and a dhoti on their backs.
@Cynthia Taitt. As Ossie More will tell you , the Civil War has already started. Black on Black, and Blacks who have the capacity and authority are standing by seemingly looking the other way.
@Belfast – I see ur point, but mind control and brainwashing runs deep and actually fits an overall purpose/agenda. It promotes dependency, self hate, lack of confidence and a lack of self will and with a rebound of loving other peoples but your own race. NONE of these other races have been brainwashed like this people WORLDWIDE.
@Jennifer, “where r our medicines, Cruise ships, planes, cars, clothing lines, etc” All of these questions and examples set by you displays a element of stupidity. The majority of Barbadians are educated people, overflowing with Layers and other professionals for decades; yet no one as attempted to achieve or bring about any of these things. Medicines is one of the easiest products to develope, but made by a Barbadian would not be good enough. Seeing that you feel so disfranchised about not having the things you mentioned, what have you tried to achieve except sitting on your backside and moaning about the things not provided for you. Again I go back to dependency, and you stand out as a be on of light in the dependency department. The fact remains, some people prefer to brag instead of doing anything constructive. Barbadians talk about the Independence we gained in 1966, but what have we gained since then; the back to Africa movement by a load of soap box loud mouth individuals, who are just a bunch of do nothing, and expect everything to appear by magic. We we are now reaping the results; the brown stuff is now hitting the fan, and we have only ourselves to blame.
@ Carson C, Cadogan, Ignorance is a terrible curse, and it will appear that you’ve got a bad dose of it. If you know that those people are selling guns in Barbados, what have you done about it; have you gone to the Police with your information? One of the things people like yourself is good at doing is proportioning blame. You are living in a personal fools paradise. Now, addressing your accusation that I am “ashamed of my race” I am a black Barbadian woman with curly hair; the same hair that I was born with. I’ve never set out to adopt or attempted to look like any other race. I’m proud of my black heritage and background. However, what I am not proud of is idiots who spend their life journey squandering what my fore parents fought so courageously, and suffered for. You cannot put me down with your ridiculous rhetoric. I love the Island of my birth, but loathe what is currently taking place there. I will always speak out with honesty, never upholding wrong doings, because of my displeasure of other human beings because of their race, religion, sexuality or position in society.
Idiots like you are a big part of the problems which Black Bajans face every day.
Muslims strap bombs onto them selves and walk into markets, detonate the bombs killing scores of innocent people, they caused 9/11, and I have never heard a single Muslim say that they are ashamed to be a Muslim.
White people walk into schools armed to the teeth and start opening fire on innocent children and I have never heard a single white person say that they are ashamed of their race. They rightly condemned the dastardly individuals committing the crimes but that is as far as it goes.
But an idiot like you condemn the whole Black race. As far as you are concerned Black people are the worst things on Earth.
@Carson C, Cadogan, You are such a tiny brain and stupid individual, I have decided not to waste my time and energy on you..Comdeming the entire “Black race” would be condemning myself , my family and my friends, and every black human being in the world. Well, let me tell you; you are so wrong and way out of line. What I condemn are the young black men in Barbados who are running around with guns murdering each other along with innocent citizens, and causing untold mayhem to the once respected name of the people of Barbados . That is what I condemn now, and will continue to condemn. It is obviously clear that you support the criminals running with their guns; I don’t and never will. This is my final reply to your out of order comments. You are not worthy of my common sense or my precious time. Tally Ho; because I ride on!
@Cynthia Taitt – I can clearly say that u r a traitor to the truth and the stupid dim one on here, and loving ur people to be oppressed and riding on the backs of other races. If medicines r so easy to develop then why is the so called black bajans not doing it? but taking meds which r sub and killing their organs. And whose education them got? Black people are fully dependent on every other race including u Cynthia. People like u Brag about the lovely cruise u went on, or flying to some European place, etc, how much u achieve and $hi^ like that. while still at the bottom of the pile. What have u achieve in the mother land Cynthia? some mortgage attached home, not even detach if ur lucky. No wealth whatsoever. Just trending and smiling sweet keeping up appearances like Mrs bucket. U people r simple as hell.
@ Jennifer, To spend anymore of my valued time in discussion with you would be a travesty. I’m am a Registered Nurse and know all there’s to know about Medicines. It is stupidness like what you’ve described that is responsible for Barbadians having fear of being treated by Doctors. You are a sad individual, and as a Barbadian woman myself I would suggest you find a way to emotive your life. I did just that. Stop being envious and feeling sorry for yourself. What I have and what I’ve done in my life, is a result of my own hard work as a woman. Nothing gained for free. This is my final reply on this subject

WOW……
BAJAN INDIAN MUSLIMS???
Not one thing will happen to them.
On the other hand , if they were BLACK BAJANS……
Their case will keep getting called when the Magistrate is on HOLIDAY, until everyone forget about it.
We are damn lucky that these two were brought to court. In the past, a donation to QEH would have done the thing.
-November 30 ,1966 to November 30,1018- 52 years of independence-
