Probation officers will delve into the life of a 24-year-old man who was found in possession of 24 cocaine rocks.
When Jason Levere Griffith, of no fixed place of abode, appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today he pleaded guilty to possession, possession with intent to supply and possession with intent to traffic the controlled substance.
The prosecutor revealed that police were on duty in Jackson, St Michael yesterday when they saw Griffith among a group of men.
On seeing the police Griffith ran away while dropping a white box to the ground. He was apprehended and asked to account for the white rock-like crystalline substance found in the box.
“That is the box I pelt way. It got in cocaine officer,” Griffith reportedly told police at the time.
He was granted $2,000 bail to return to the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court on February 8, 2019.
