A St Michael man who pleaded guilty to stealing two picnic hams will return to society in time for Christmas 2019.
Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today sentenced Terry Anderson Payne, of Reed Street, St Michael to six months in prison for committing the criminal offence at Jordan Supermarket Limited on June 8.
Payne is currently serving a nine-month sentence and was due to be released on June 7, 2019.
“I throw in the towel now because up there rough. At 60 you got to give in because up there rough,” Payne said as the magistrate informed him that the sentence would run consecutively to any other sentence being served.
“Ah well I there already,” Payne said even as he was seen counting the additional time on his fingers.
