The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) has advised that the office of the Police Certificate of Character will be relocated from Sugar Cane Mall, Roebuck Street temporarily to Central Police Station effective Thursday, December 13.
As a result the Certificate of Character office at Sugar Cane Mall will be closed on Wednesday, December 12, to facilitate the relocation.
The office at Central Police Station will be open to the public from Thursday, December, 13. The temporary telephone numbers for the office will be: 430-7158 and 430-7167, while the telephone numbers for the appointments section will remain 430-7670 and 430 -7671.
Members of the public who have appointments scheduled for Wednesday will be accommodated at the new location between Thursday, December, 13 and Friday, December 21.
Those affected persons are asked to visit the office at the same appointment time previously scheduled, on any day between the above mentioned dates.
The RBPF apologizes for the inconvenience caused, but wish to thank you for your cooperation.

So how can you make an appointment when you can’t just walk in ?
This process is so outdated. If you’ve been finger printed for the very first time, for subsequent certificates, you should be able to walk into any police station, pay the fee, and then go back for the certificate when it’s reqdy. It’s a willful waste of resources, money and time have to go through the whole re finger printing process time after time. As far as I know, your finger prints don’t expire or change…storing them on whatever system they have shouldn’t be an issue. It’s not for other countries.
