A St Thomas man charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest was granted bail when he appeared at the No.1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Kevin Kemar Ricardo Forde of Lion Castle St Thomas pleaded not guilty assaulting Station Sergeant Troy Small on December 16, 2018. The 28-year-old man was also charged with resisting arrest by Small on that same date.
Forde pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Prosecutor Sergeant Carrison Henry did not object to bail and Magistrate Douglas Frederick granted the accused $2000 bail with one surety. Forde is required to return to court on May 9, 2019.
