Will it be Greece or Iceland? These are the two destinations the 2018 RUBIS Great Escape competition winner is pondering.
Juliet Holder, a teacher, was recently announced the winner of $20,000 in travel credit from Going Places, the grand prize in the RUBIS promotion, which concluded last month. Ms Holder said, “Both countries are on my bucket list of travel destinations so I will have to decide which one my son and I will visit.” The first time winner entered 31 times and said she was deeply satisfied and very surprised with her win.
Marketing Manager at RUBIS Andrea Gooding explained that in addition to the grand prize, the energy company also awarded 167 lucky winners with exciting prizes including a staycation at Mango Bay, a luxury Silver Moon catamaran cruise for 12 persons; a $3,000 ‘Pimp Your Car’ voucher from Rezult Auto; a Spa day for four persons at Hilton Eforea Spa; $2,000 in cash and $2,000 in fuel.
She said, “In addition, we had daily prizes including Bluetooth car kits and fuel vouchers. We wanted to maintain the excitement throughout the promotion by having daily and weekly winners. That allowed us to reward more of our loyal customers than we have been able to in the past. Winners loved the Bluetooth car kits and especially the fuel vouchers, a popular prize in these current times.”
Gooding explained that the 2018 competition operated on a totally digital entry card platform. She explained, “Last year, we used both the digital platform and paper forms. However, we went 100 per cent digital this year and saw a 150 per cent increase in entries. We also ran a series of station promotions during the campaign which meant even more customers won just for fuelling with RUBIS.”
Ms Holder was presented with her prize during an awards ceremony hosted at RUBIS Wildey. (PR)
